He holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering and a PhD in Science and Technologies for Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan.<\/p>\n<p>At the JRC\u2019s Directorate for Energy, Mobility and Climate, Stefano has contributed to pioneering research on smart electricity systems, with a strong focus on interoperability methodologies, design of experiments, and global sensitivity analysis. He led the JRC Ispra Living Lab for digital energy solutions, involving citizens in testing innovative technologies and gamification tools, and previously served as Technical Secretary of the EU Offshore Oil and Gas Authorities Group.<\/p>\n<p>Stefano has extensive expertise in simulation modelling and quasi-Monte Carlo methods. He is the author of more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and co-author of four books on uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis.
